Automobile accidents are often avoidable but sometimes not. There may still be a responsible party whose negligence contributed to the collision that caused the injury. The case of the obstructed view is a good example. Sergio was riding his motorcyle home after work when a car pulled out from a side street. They collided and Sergio was seriously injured and was never able to return to work. The car had the minimum $25,000 policy and it was only after years of hard fought litigation, discovery and successfully defended appeals that the adjoining business was forced to contribute to a settlement that allowed Sergio the financial freedom to live life comfortably.
